1. Jamie Vardy

I think Jamie Vardy has self respect because he was a Footballer for Stocksbridge Park Steels a local non league team in 2010. He had the desire to become the clinical striker he is today.

Jamie Vardy is a 29 year old Footballer, who was born in Sheffield, England. Why I feel Jamie Vardy possesses self respect is because he has kept his chin up and has kept jumping over key obstacles that have appeared in his career. Jamie Vardy is now the Premier League record holde for most consecutive games scored 11 games, breaking Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Vardy has the passion to be a Premier League great. He is currently on a mission to take home the English Championship. After only a year ago Leicster were crawling out of the relegation zone. He is also currently the Barclays Premier League top goalscorer. They are the main reasons I think Vardy has self respect.

2. Michael Watson

I think this boxer has the upmost self respect for himself as a boxer and a person. Michael Watson always behaved with respect before his fights not running his mouth to his oppenent and had his confidence inside of him.

The main reason I think he has self respect is over the Watson V Eubank the rematch made on the 21 September 1991 at White Hart Lane for the vacant WBO Super Middleweight Title. In round 11, with Watson ahead on points and on the verge of a stoppage victory, he knocked Eubank down with a right hook. Moments later, Eubank was back on his feet and connected with a devastating uppercut, which caused Watson to fall back and hit the back of his head against the ropes. Watson got back up, but his head wasn’t straight the two went back to fight then Eubank kept on hooking Watson and he wasn’t protecting himself, the referee Roy Francis called the fight of in round 12 which meant Eubank had won. Moments after the victory Watson collapsed. There was no ambulance or paramedic at the event. Eight minutes later Docters arrived. He spent 40 days in a coma and had six brain operations to remove a blood clot. After regaining consciousness, he spent over a year in intensive care and rehabilitation and six more years in a wheelchair while he could learn slow movement and the ability to speak and write.

On 19 April 2003 Michael Watson made headlines when he completed the London Marathon, walking two hours each morning and afternoon for six days. Raising money for the Brain and Spine Foundation, Watson slept overnight in a support bus that followed him along the way. Finishing the race by his side were Chris Eubank and his neurosurgeon.

Thats why I believe them two possess self respect.
